I teamed up with Requisite Fitness in 2013 and never looked back. The coaches know movement, prioritize form and have built an amazing community of athletes that I am privileged to be a part of. Strength training at Requisite has been an ideal way to add balance and variety to the hours spent at the boathouse. More importantly, the team atmosphere has been an incredible source of energy, inspiration and support.
Dr. Lenny and the team at Summit Spine and Wellness have been lifesavers for most of my post-collegiate career. Dr. Lenny has helped me with everything from keeping my neck and back healthy and strong, to treating instability in my right wrist and a stubborn case of plantar fasciitis in my left foot. We’ve worked closely during various regattas, and he is a constant when I’m training in or near Philadelphia. I can’t recommend him enough, for maintenance, general well-being or acute care. I count on Dr. Lenny, and fully trust the entire Summit Spine team.
WellPoint Oriental Medicine is a cornerstone of my training and racing success. In fact, I am rowing today thanks to the skill and expertise of Adam Schreiber, who helped me recover from recurring injuries in 2011. He and partner, Teresa Tat, practice Chinese and Japanese styles of acupuncture, as well as Chinese herbal medicine. I work closely with both of them to enhance recovery, promote sleep, prevent injury and support general well-being.

Nothing gets me fired up like a solid session with the barbell. My time in the gym is just about sacred so it is important to me to find a great place to lift when I’m away from home. When I started rowing at GMS, I found OPEX Gold Coast in Norwalk, CT, which turned out to be such a gem! It’s rare to walk into a gym and see an entire community of athletes who move well and train with intensity. The team at OPEX not only programs for each athlete individually, but also teach proper movement and offer ongoing support. It was great to be able to work among other highly trained athletes and trust the direction of the coaches on the floor.
Dr. Pro came through for me in a big way during spring training in Florida in 2017, and is now my “go-to” for bodywork and chiropractic whenever I’m in town. Dr. Pro is an expert in Active Release Technique, and specializes in identifying sources of pain and correcting dysfunction. We’ve evaluated everything from my movement patterns and body mechanics in rowing and weightlifting to yoga and stretching at home. I even changed my single rig after seeing him, which helped eliminate a problem with my one of my hips. I’m sincerely grateful for Dr. Pro’s time, generosity and unparalleled expertise!
